Vivo V20 SE is one of the recent additions to the Vivo’s V series, which is positioned as one of the most affordable versions of the brand launched on 24^th September 2020. With V20 SE, Vivo concentrates on cameras and design, which are very much similar to their previous models.

Vivo has personally claimed that their focus when manufacturing Vivo V20 SE was on their design and this feature is very much evident. V20 SE mobile is thin and their weight is manageable at 171 gram.

The dimension of the phone is 161X74.1X7.8 mm displaying Amoled type display with a size of 6.44 inches and resolution of 1080X2400 pixel, which is 20:9 ratio. The smartphone gets you a complete HD+ resolution display, which is tall and narrow.

V20 SE mobile sides are rounded, making it highly comfortable for users to hold. The phone’s frame is made with plastic with the front side being glass. Left side of the phone is bare, as the model has positioned its SIM tray at the top end.

This mobile gets you slots of dual Nano SIM along with a slot solely dedicated for microSD card making expansion of storage possible.

The bottom and top of the phone are flat. It comes with USB Type C port, a headphone jack of 3.5 mm, a microphone at the bottom end of the phone and a speaker.

Vivo V20 SE Mobile Summary

Though the brand calls this an SE/Special Edition, their major specifications are similar to Vivo V20 models. The mobile is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Octa-Core processor, which is paired well with 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM. 

The phone supports a 6.44 inch AMOLED display and also an in display fingerprint scanner. Unlike its past models of Vivo V20, Vivo V20 SE does not function on Android 11 and instead works on Android 10 OS.

However, it still has new features like new FunTouch OS 11 UI on the top with the UI being pretty similar to V20 featuring a preinstalled bloatware.

Already installed softwares in the device are Flipkart, Facebook, Snapchat, Phonepe and Spotify. Instead of Google Play store, the device has a V appstore.

V20 SE allows you to customise your charging features and unlock animations. One can also take the benefit of an AMOLED panel & enable always ON display mode.

V20 SE price currently is Rs. 19,990 in most of the online platforms. While this model supports a decent amount of storage and RAM, the phone’s processor is not powerful when considering its price.

The same processor is available in smartphones of Realme Narzo 20A and Nokia 5.3, which are available at more affordable price.

Opinion

Vivo V20 SE must be called V20 lite as the model has watered down their specifications to a great extent to make it available at a lower price. Similar to Vivo V20, the model concentrates on cameras and design.

Hence, if you are looking out for a decent camera performance priced at Rs 20,000, then you can pick this phone.

However, for those looking for an all rounder smartphone, Vivo v20se is definitely not the best choice owing to their weaker processors.
